Experiences: El Shadai

I was at El-shadai for only a week with my daughter. I thought it a most incredible experience. The children and Stephen are wonderful and very self-sufficient. The children made us feel welcome right away. I did feel at a loss as to what I could offer. We did help Stephen with computer stuff and helped Isaac make batiks. We also went to some of the meetings Stephen holds for women in the village.

I would recommend anyone who travels to Africa for the first time to take 1 or 2 days to rest and adjust before going to El-shadai. I look back at my experience and feel so grateful that this beautiful family took me into their home and showed me a glimpse of life in an African village.
